PRODUCTION JOURNAL: JACK YAEGER
Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2:39AM Today's Mercury Monday post takes a look at daring aerospace engineer Jack Yaeger.
Some of this covers some similar ground as the last production design journal (we filmed this a day before that one), but there's also some new insight into the multiple inspirations for the character.
Got a question about the character? Post it in the comments section or on Facebook and I'm sure Curt will make an appearance to answer them.

I am in full agreement with you. We need more 'classic' good-guy heroes. The world has gone way too dark these days and the 'fun' is gone.
I love this show. It reminds me of the science fiction films I used to watch as a kid on Saturday afternoons. Jack is a throwback to the days when good guys were really good and villains were really bad.
I love this show as well. This is retro 50's sci-fi done right. You've got it all with the characters, the goofy moon-crashing-into-earth (in a matter of hours nonetheless!) and, the necessary brain in a jar running things. I think I have become somewhat obsessed! Jack Yaeger is the quentessential good-guy hero we all need more of.
Very very cool :) Jack Yaegar IS Buck Aldrin Jones..... lol ;)
